The Fight

After two months of fruitless protests to obtain an increase in state benefits for people with disabilities, a few dozen wheelchair users decided to make the long trip to the capital with the aim of organizing a demonstration in front of government headquarters. It took many weeks to reach La Paz, where they encountered tough opposition by riot police. This film takes a close-up look at the indomitable will of defenseless people who are prepared to risk their lives in this David vs. Goliath battle, in which human dignity, respect and freedom are all at stake.
