Au fil des rencontres d’artistes emblématiques d’hier et d’aujourd’hui, le film de Julian Starke raconte une histoire de l’électro française à travers les yeux de la jeune génération. Il part à la recherche des racines américaines techno et house, nous fait revivre l’époque des raves illégales et retrace le destin peu commun de la French Touch, ce courant musical qui a joué un rôle déterminant pour la reconnaissance des musiques électroniques dans le monde. Mais surtout, il met un coup de projecteur sur la nouvelle vague d’artistes français, héritiers de cette histoire moderne qu’ils s’approprient à leur façon.
