Classmates Minna and Flic spend most of their time at a British boarding school together. This inseparable duo can turn almost anything into a game. When they start competing to see who can “win” someone’s affection first, they choose their geography teacher, Miss Delavigne, as their target. Why her? She’s sufficiently older, unattainable, and, most importantly, it’s not supposed to be about real feelings anyway. But the innocent competition gets complicated soon. Jealousy, insecurity and the first encounters with sexuality enter the competition. Because some games are easy to play only until you realize you actually care about the outcome. This quirky coming-of-age comedy about friendship and desire from debut director Molly Manners premiered at Sundance, where it was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize.
