PRAGUE SHORTS SELECTION : First Service – Famous in Shorts

Even the most famous directors had to start somewhere, looking for subjects, trying to find their style, exploring what stories can be told through film and how to convey what is on their mind. Seeing the early short films of directors such as Agnieszka Holland, Thomas Vinterberg, Ruben Östlund, Taika Waititi, or Jane Campion can be a joyful experience for many reasons. For instance, we can try to find intimations or characteristic features of their later work. Or we can just enjoy them as original works by young filmmakers, imbued with their talent and always with a bit of the era in which they were made. By Pragueshorts festival
